The Sentimental Value Things Hold

The Sentimental Value Things Hold

19 November 2017

Seeker of meaning,

I am the type of person who assigns sentimental value to certain physical things and objects. This may seem like an inherently human thing to do, but I do so on a very deep level.

There are some people who don’t find such value in things as I do, and that is quite alright. However, I do think it is something which should be cherished rather than looked down upon.

The key is assigning such value to certain special things and not all things. Of course, if all things have sentimental value, then it’s like none of them do!

But I find it very important to have an emotional attachment to at least some things.

That way when you look at and hold that obsidian glass…

shirt…

book…

coin…

pencil…

photograph…

scorecard…

document…

certificate…

note…

keychain…

trophy…

medal…

liquid container….

every memory and feeling of those moments comes rushing back and a nostalgic aroma fills the air.

That feeling you get when you hold something which has value because you earned it or because it represents times with someone special in your life…

It’s indescribable…

irreplaceable…

it’s… it’s good…

it’s very good.
